Fall is a common condition in children and usually is a symptom of some other underlying health condition. In dry cough, there is no phlem present and the child will complain of an itchy and dry throat. The affected child voice will sound horse and he or she may become irritable and easily exhausted. Such cough can cause difficulty in swallowing and also results in a loss of appetite. Coughing is a natural body relex which keeps the lungs, throat and the airway clear of foreign material. However, constant coughing is irritable and requires treatment. One of the most general causes of dry cough is common cold. Sometimes it is a result of other diseases such as laryngitis, pneumonia, sinus infection or auto viral infection of the respiratory tract. If your child is allergic to pollution, dust or smoke, then coming in contact with these allergens while playing outdoors can lead to dry cough. If the cough persists for a prolonged period it’s best to plan a trip to the doctor.
At home, you can prepare these natural remedies to help your child get relief from this condition. Soak almonds in water overnight. Feel the skin in the morning and crush them to make a paste. Add one tablespoon of melted butter. Add one tablespoon of sugar mix it will give this to the child once every morning and evening.
Take one teaspoon of basil paste and extract it with a sieve and spoon. Then add one teaspoon of ginger paste and press it through a sieve into a small bowl. Add three teaspoons of honey and mix it well. Then give half a teaspoon of this mixture three times in a day.
Take a cup of warm water. Add one teaspoon of turmeric powder. Then add one teaspoon of Carom seed powder. Mix it well and give this to your child twice a day.
